DO YOU CELEBRATE PASSOVER OR EASTER?

Easter is fast approaching and mothers have been buying their babies all the best clothes they possibly can for this special day. They may have bought extra eggs, dye’s, stickers, and shrink wrap, in an attempt to not be outdone by all the other mothers and families that will be sharing in your festivities. Many of them will gather at a specific location at sunrise for a symbolic reference to the Christ raised from the grave.

The faithful church members will hear the preacher teach that on Good Friday they crucified the LORD and laid him in a borrowed tomb. And then early on Easter Sunday morning he was raised from the Dead.

I will now tell of the Easter story some of you who are reading this message were never told. And you may begin to see why you are doing all the things that surround this day, and have been doing it just because that is what everyone else is doing and some man told you it was the proper thing to do. If everyone was going to jump off a bridge would you do it?  What if the president of the United States, or even your pastor, told you it was the right thing to do, would you do it? I do not believe  you would, and neither would I even I were in that position.  But we all have followed traditions of man without questioning their validity. I certainly did, for I grew up doing all the “right” things for the Easter celebration. I fasted meat on Friday for the church forbade us to eat meat, so we ate fish. I went to do the station of the cross, and went to church Easter Sunday. Actually in Italy and Hawaii we went to celebrate Easter on the early morning mass. Why was that? I did not know then, but I found out the reason many years later.

I will share with you some scriptures throughout this message, but first I just want to tell you the true Easter Story. You may have heard about Nimrod, who is a descendant of Noach through His son Ham, the father of Kena’an, whom Noach cursed. (Bereshith/Genesis 9:22; 10:6-8).  Nimrod married Semiramis. The tale about Nimrod was that he was a great hunter, and he became the king of Babylon where they built the tower of Babel. This is where YHWH confused the language of the people. But the Story of Semiramis was not told in scripture, before becoming the wife of Nimrod she is actually referred to as Semiramis the second to whom the hanging gardens of Babylon where built.  This character is a little hard to trace but we know that she was later called the Queen of Heaven. And this is the only clue we have to her in the Bible.

Yirmeyahu/Jeremiah 44:15-19 “Then all the men who knew that their wives had burned incense to other gods, with all the women who stood by, a great multitude, and all the people who dwelt in the land of Egypt, in Pathros, answered Jeremiah, saying: “As for the word that you have spoken to us in the name of YHWH,  we will certainly do whatever has gone out of our own mouth, to burn incense to the queen of heaven and pour out drink offerings to her, as we have done, we and our fathers, our kings and our princes, in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. For then we had plenty of food, were well-off, and saw no trouble. But since we stopped burning incense to the queen of heaven and pouring out drink offerings to her, we have lacked everything and have been consumed by the sword and by famine.” The women also said, ‘And when we burned incense to the queen of heaven and poured out drink offerings to her, did we make cakes for her, to worship her, and pour out drink offerings to her without our husbands’ permission?

Now the legend says that when Shem killed Nimrod and sent his body parts to the lands in the religion that he had formed with Semiramis it is said that he ascended into the sky and became the sun god.  Later a religion was formed and was called Mithraism. This is the Religion  Constantine the Great was involved in. He was a sun god worshiper until the day he died. He is also recognized as pope in the Roman Catholic Church.  In fact he said to have been praying to this sun god on a SUNday when he saw the sign of a cross, which led him to form the religion now known as Catholicism, from which all protestant religions were birthed.

After Nimrod died, years later, Semiramis was said to have been magically impregnated by the rays of the sun, and bore a male child which she named Tammuz. You can find him in scripture as well. Yechezqel/ Ezekiel 8:14 “So He brought me to the door of the north gate of YHWH’S house; and to my dismay, women were sitting there weeping for Tammuz.”

Semiramis married her son Tammuz, who like his father was a great hunter, but at the age of forty while on a hunting trip  he was gored to death by a wild boar. His followers then cried for him for 40 days: one day for each year of his life. During this time, the sun god worshipers deprived themselves a pleasure in this life in order to somehow give pleasure to Tammuz in the afterlife!  This is why we have 40 days of lent and also why Christians eat ham on Easter Sunday. It was this abomination that is being referred to in Yechezqel/Ezekiel 8:14.

After Tammuz’ death Semiramis is said to have grieved herself to death. But at her death it is said that she ascended into the sky to become the moon god and earn the tile of “The Queen of Heaven.”  But how would they know that Semiramis had really become “The Queen of Heaven”? They needed a sign. The legend continue to say that she descended from heaven in a giant egg, landing in the Euphrates River and bursting out as the bare breasted goddess Ishtar, later known as Easter. To prove her divinity she turned a bird into an egg laying rabbit,  Someone used this tale to begin a religion, complete with priests and sacrifices.

Every year on the first SUNday after the vernal equinox they would have a day of worship and celebration which they called it Easter. On this day at SUNrise, the cultic Priest would take Virgins and rape them on the altar of ISHTAR. Now by the sheer number of women being raped there would be children born from those rapes. These priests would take the now three month old babies, born from the previous years’ rape, cut their throat and drain their blood into a bowl. They would then take Eggs and dip them in the blood of these sacrificed babies and hide them about the city. This atrocious act was done almost as a down payment… which promised that if a person would find one of those eggs that person would bare male children. Could anyone be more deceived? Yet they did it.

And that is the true Easter Story   and it has nothing to do with the resurrection of our Mashiach (Messiah) Yahoshua, who is better known today with the name Jesus.

Knowing this story, how would anyone buy eggs, dye, hiding eggs, get stuffed rabbits, and going  to SUNrise service on SUNday?

Now let’s go to Scripture and see what it has to say about the Resurrection of our Mashiach Yahoshua. We all know that Yahoshua was our Passover Lamb, and being so, He was crucified on Passover, fulfilling the Scriptures.

On the Erev (when the sun starts it descent in the sky around 3pm) on the 14th day of the First Month of the Biblical Calendar, the priest at the temple would start sacrificing the Passover Lamb. The exact day and time that Yahoshua was being hung on the Cross. When the Sacrifice and ritual was complete the priest would come out and declare with a loud voice “IT IS FINISHED” at the exact same time Yahoshua declared:  “IT IS FINISHED” (Yochanan/John 19:30) and He gave up His Spirit.  By saying these last words he declared that He had finished all His Father and He agreed to do in order to fulfill the Scriptures, and redeemed all who would believe in him.

But before He gave up His Ruach (Spirit) He went through great suffering. At every Passover the Yahudim/Jews could receive the freedom of one person which had been convicted to die. Pilate wanted to release a murderer, Barabbas, but they refused the offer, and asked for their King Yahoshua to be crucified. He gave His life to save the sinner Barabbas and you and me.

Yochanan/John 18:39-40 “But you have a custom that I should release someone to you at the Passover. Do you therefore want me to release to you the King of the Jews?’ Then they all cried out again, saying, “Not this Man, but Barabbas!” Now Barabbas was a robber.

Yochanan/John 19:1-7 So then Pilate took Yahoshua and scourged Him. And the soldiers twisted a crown of thorns and put it on His head, and they put on Him a purple robe. Then they said, ‘Hail, King of the Jews.’ And they struck Him with their hands. Pilate then went out again, and said to them, ‘Behold, I am bringing Him out to you, that you may know that I find no fault in Him.’ Then Yahoshua came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe. And Pilate said to them, “Behold the Man!’ Therefore, when the chief priests and officers saw Him, they cried out, saying, ‘Crucify Him,’ crucify Him!’ Pilate said to them, “You take Him and crucify Him, for I find no fault in Him.’ The Jews answered him, “We have a law, and according to your law He ought to die, because He made Himself the Son of Elohim.”

Yahoshua was chosen to be sacrificed, and Barabbas was released. He took the place of the sinner, literally became sin, and He was sacrificed for you and me.

Qorin’tiyim 2/2 Corinthians 5:21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of Elohim.

Yahoshua fulfilled every prophecy concerning His first coming.  He fulfilled every detail of becoming our Pesach (Passover Lamb) but I want to show you how Easter has nothing to do with his resurrection.

Now the Church says Yahoshua was crucified on Friday and they call this day Good Friday because scripture declares they had to get him in the grave because the Sabbath was coming. They did not even have time to clean the body and anoint it. Yet we see in the NKJV scripture that early on the first day of the week after the Sabbath Mary came to anoint his body and perform the burial ritual He was already raised. However, the correct translation from the Greek reads in a different way.

Yochanan/John 20:1-9 “Now on one of the Shabbathoth, Miryam from  Magdala went to the tomb in the morning, while it was still dim, and saw that the stone had been removed from the tomb.  2 So she ran and came to Shim’on Kepha (Simon Peter), and to the other talmid (disciple), whom Yahoshua loved, and said to them, “They have taken away the  Adon (Lord) out of the tomb, and we do not know where they laid Him.”  3 Then Kepha (Peter) and the other talmid (disciple), went out, and they were going to the tomb, 4  and the two were running together, but the other talmid outran Kepha and came to the tomb first.  5  And  stooping down he saw the lines wrappings lying, but he did not go in. 6  Then Shim’on Kepha  came, following him, and went into the tomb.  And he saw the linen wrapping lying,  7 and the cloth which had been on His head, not lying with the linen wrappings, but folded up in a place by itself.  8 So, then, the other talmid, who came to the tomb first, also went in. And he saw and believed.  9 For they did not yet know the Scripture, that He has to rise again from the dead.

He rose on the Sabbath, not on a sun-day! He was the Adon of the Sabbath! He created the world with the Father. He would not share His glory with the sun god worshipers!

Now let continue to figure out what the translators have written. If they had to put him in the grave on a Friday because the Sabbath was coming, and the morning after the Sabbath he was already raised how was he in the grave for 3 days and 3 nights? He had to fulfill the prophecy he had spoken while alive, or He would not have been the valid Savior, for He would have sinned, but… He did not sin.

MattithYahu/ Matthew 12:38 Then some of the scribes and Pharisees answered, saying, “Teacher, we want to see a sign from You.” 39 But He answering said to them, “As wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign shall be given to it except the sign of the navi Yonah.  40 For as Yonah was three days and three nights in the stomach of the great fish, so shall the ben of Adam be three days in the heart of the earth.”

Let us say they are counting Friday as the first day that is day one. Friday night would have been night one. Saturday would have been day 2 and Saturday night would have been night 2. Now when Mary came at the dawning of the day on Sunday he was already raised. So where is day 3 and night 3?  Where is the third day and night? Besides, you cannot count Friday, for He died about 3:00 pm, and was in the grave before Sundown.

I believe the translators did it on purpose. There is no other explanation.

The Scriptures said they came to the tomb on one of the Shabbathoth,(Sabbaths) not on Sunday as the NKJV has written.  Please read the original Greek and you see it.

The Feasts of Yahweh are not celebrated according to the Equinox, or according to the days of the week. They are celebrated according to specific dates. For instance the First of the Year is when the barley is going to be ready for harvest on the Feast of First Fruits which is on the 17th day of the First Biblical Month. The 17th day Yahoshua rose from the dead to fulfill the Feast of First Fruits. He is the First one to rise from the dead, and we all who believe in Him will also rise!

Remember Passover is the 14th day, or the day before the Feast of Unleavened Bread, which is on the 15th day of the First Biblical Month.

The Scriptures declare that the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread is a Sabbath (not a weekly Sabbath, but a special Feast Day Sabbath) which is a rest day. This was the Sabbath that was coming, and the reason they had to get him in the grave quickly was because they could not work on the Sabbath

Wayyiqra/Leviticus 23:6-7“And on the fifteenth day of this month is the Festival of Matstsoth (Unleavened Bread) to YHWH- seven days you shall eat unleavened bread. On the first day you have a qodesh gathering, you do not servile work.”

Because of this Feast they could not take care of the Body of Yahoshua. They could cook, but not shop and get the spices to embalm Him.  I already said that the Scriptures say that Miryam came on a Shabbathoth, or on one of the Biblical Sabbaths, not on Sunday. You see, ignorance of the Word causes many people to disobey Yahweh. We must find out truth for ourselves for we will be judged according to what the Word says, not according to traditions of men. Yahoshua said it this way:

“He who rejects Me, and does not receive My Words, has one who judges him: the Word that I have spoken shall judge him in the last day.” Yochanan/John 12:48

We must know in our hearts that Yahoshua did not lie when He spoke of His death and resurrection. He did not lie when He said He would be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.  He fulfilled the Word, but we did not understand, not knowing the Scriptures. We were not taught to celebrate the Feasts which are historical and prophetic shadow pictures of the life of our Savior.  Anti Semitism removed the teachings from us, until Yahweh intervened and led us to learn about the Torah, which is our instruction from Yahweh to learn of Him and live a righteous life.

Should anyone continue to participate in traditions of men instead of obeying the Word?  I know all the arguments, “Well that’s not what it means to me,” and “I’m doing it in remembrance of his resurrection not paganism.” Well I have one more story to tell you then you can make up your own mind if this is something you should ever participate in again.

Remember after the children of Israel crossed the red sea and Moses had gone upon the mountain for forty days. The people became restless and asked Aaron to make them a god.  He made them the golden calf

Aaron finished the work and then he announced that the following day they would have a feast day to YHWH. Moses came down in the middle of their wickedness and broke the Ten Commandments. At that point YHWH said he was going to kill them all and rise up a nation from Moses. This Calf was to them a representation of their Elohim YHWH, and they would worship it. (Shemoth/Exodus 32).

They forgot the Ten Commandments they had just received. (Shemoth/Exodus 19-20)

It does not matter what Easter means to us, it only matters what it means to our Creator YHWH. He said He would have no other god before him and everything about an Easter celebration originated in the false worship of a false god.

Please read: Mattithyahu/Mathew chapters 26-28; Marqos/Mark chapters 14-16; Luqas/Luke 22-24; Yochanan/John 18-20.

I hope you find this message helpful, and if you are in some form of idolatry: REPENT now, and do not wait another day, for it may never come. If you choose to serve Yahweh please do it with all your heart, not as a religious duty, but because you love Him.

If you call on the Name of Yahweh, and believe in Yahoshua’s sacrifice, His blood will cleanse you from all sin.

Please also know that every time you read “The LORD,” in your Bible, it is hiding the true Name of Elohim, our Creator whose Name is “YHWH.” Joshua is also the correct Name in English of our Savior Yahoshua.

Shalom, shalom.
